Terms and Conditions

Welcome to the Greenscents website (the “Website”) terms and conditions. Your use of this website is governed by the terms and conditions set out below. By using any part of this website, completing your customer registration with us and/or placing an order on the website you agree to be bound by the terms and conditions set out below.

These terms and conditions are applicable to the supply of products made by Greenscents Ltd, to the Customer.

These terms and conditions and your use of the website are governed by English Law and you agree to submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the English Court. This does not affect your statutory rights.

1. Price

1.1. All prices are quoted in sterling and are inclusive of VAT (as may be prescribed by law from time to time), unless otherwise specified and are only available to UK customers.

1.2. Postage and packing prices may be charged in addition to the price of any goods and, where applicable, are stated on the website.

2. Payment

Online payment will be provided in a secure environment. Payments must be made in sterling and by one of the following credit card payment methods – (except International Customers see clause 10), Visa, MasterCard, Switch, Solo, Delta and Electron.

3. Passing of property

Greenscents Limited will retain ownership of the goods until full payment has been made and funds have cleared.

4. Passing of risk

The risk in the goods will pass to the Customer on delivery where Greenscents arranges this service and on collection where the customer arranges this service.

5. UK Delivery

5.1. Courier: Monday to Friday only. Please allow 4 working days.

5.2. Overseas and non-mainland UK delivery: Postage is charged at cost. Delivery times may vary. Please allow 7-14 days. [See clause 8].

5.3. Any products not available at the time of your order will be brought to your attention within 48 hours and agreement reached on a mutually acceptable course of action. The options are: remove this product from the order and adjust the invoice accordingly, substitute an alternative product e.g. a different fragrance or deliver the product at a later date where this is a viable option.

6. Cancellations & Returns

6.1. The Customer shall be deemed to have accepted the goods unless they notify Greenscents Ltd within 7 days of their receipt. This does not affect the customer’s statutory rights. If no such action has been taken, Greenscents shall consider the products being as described, of satisfactory quality and fit for their purpose and may not accept any reject at a later date.

6.2. Unless the goods are faulty, you will be required to arrange and pay for the cost of returning them to us. Please ensure you obtain a proof of postage when you do so. Please follow your chosen carrier’s guidelines for the transport of liquids.

6.3. Packages which are damaged at the point of delivery should be refused.

6.4. In cases where the return of the goods is due to a defect or discrepancy in the order, the Customer is entitled to a full refund or replacement. We will also refund the delivery charge for sending the item to you (if applicable) and the cost incurred by you for returning the item. The faulty or damaged product must be returned to Greenscents as soon as possible or, if Greenscents agrees, photographic evidence can be made available instead of returning the product. Please ensure you obtain a proof of postage.

6.5. Please note that if you made your purchase through a partnered retail location, such as a retail store, then any return will need to be made in accordance with the returns/cancellation policy of the relevant retailer and should not be returned directly to us.

7. Privacy Policy

7.1. Any information passed through to Greenscents is managed in accordance with the provisions of EU Regulation 2016/679 General Data Protection Regulation (“GDPR”) and the Data Protection Act 2018.

7.2. Credit card details are not retained. The only information stored is a customer’s transaction history, name, address & email address. We will only contact you if we need to do so regarding your order or if you have opted in to receive more information about our products and our company.

7.3. We use Google Analytics remarketing code to log when users visit specific pages or take specific actions on our website; this allows us to provide targeted advertising through Google and third-party vendors to display tailored ads on websites across the internet. Third party vendors (including Google) use cookies to serve ads based on a user’s past visits to Greenscents’ website. You can opt out should you not want to receive remarketing ads by visiting Google Ads Settings page or alternatively by visiting the Network Advertising Initiative opt out page.

7.4. Google Universal Analytics is also used across the site to generate detailed statistics about the site’s traffic and traffic sources and measures conversions and sales. Google Universal Analytics can track visitors from all referrers, including search engines and social networks, direct visits and referring sites. It also tracks display advertising, pay-per-click networks, email marketing, and digital collateral such as links within PDF documents. 7.5. We user Hotjar to track user behaviour and experience when interacting with the Greenscents site. This allows us to improve the design and functionality of the website helping us to improve the experience when using the Greenscents site.

7.6. If a user visits our site via one of our email campaigns we may track their activity on the site. A cookie is assigned a unique ID to the subscriber and is present for one year or until that subscriber clears the cookies from their browser. Anytime the subscriber returns to the site, the cookie is referenced to track their activity, even if the subscriber doesn’t revisit the site via one of our emails.

7.7. You can enable privacy settings in your browser to restrict tracking cookies. Because we respect “do-not-track” privacy settings, those who opt-out may show open and click activity, but will not have activity tracked.

7.8. If you subscribe to our newsletter we use the data you have saved on our site to help inform us on products and or services that may be of interest to you with our marketing email. Credit card and bank details are not stored, saved or used in any way.

8. International Customers

9. Law

These terms and conditions are governed and shall be interpreted in accordance with English Law. Any person attempting to make fraudulent credit card transactions will be prosecuted with no exception.

11. Third Party Links

Greenscents will not be responsible or liable for your use of any other websites which may be accessed via links within this website. Greenscents does not control these websites and is not responsible for their content. Any such links are provided merely as a service to users and their inclusion does not constitute an endorsement by or affiliation with Greenscents.

12. General

12.1. While Greenscents uses reasonable endeavours to ensure that the information on this website is accurate and up to date, it does not give any warranty as to its accuracy or completeness and Greenscents will not be responsible for any errors or omissions or for the results arising from the use of such information.

12.2. While Greenscents takes all reasonable steps to ensure a fast and reliable service, it does not guarantee that your use of this website will be interruption or error free and will not be responsible for any disruption, loss of or corruption of any material in transit, or loss of or corruption of material or data when downloaded onto any computer system.

12.3. The entire liability of Greenscents under or in connection with any contract for any products to which these conditions apply shall not exceed the price of the products, except as expressly provided in these conditions.
