Recommended Use
We recommend 20-25ml (4-5 teaspoons) of Greenscents laundry liquid for a standard 5-6 kg wash.
For a quick wash you may need less but in hard water areas you may need a little more.
This product is suitable for all fabrics and excellent for delicates and woollens. Please always follow washing machine instructions.
Greenscents laundry liquid can be used for hand washing. We recommend 20-25ml in a bowl of warm to hot water.
Please store Greenscents Laundry Liquid at 5-25 degrees C and keep out of sunlight.

Greenscents bottles are made from durable amber glass and designed to be reused and refilled almost indefinitely, the amber protects our organic essential oils and natural ingredients from sunlight. We finish bottles with aluminium caps and offer a range of sustainable pumps and sprays on our accessories page that can be reused for years. If you prefer an unbreakable option, we also supply bottles made from biopolymers (a by-product of cane sugar production), and sustainable vegan replacement labels are available to keep your bottles looking pristine.
5 & 20 Litre Containers
Our refills come in UN-approved HDPE 5- and 20-litre containers. To cut waste, we run a free-return scheme for empties, so we buy very few new containers, another easy way to keep plastic use to a minimum.
Boxes & Packaging
All Greenscents postal packaging is recyclable and compostable where possible. Boxes are cardboard and recyclable via household collections or local recycling points; we protect products with paper bubble wrap, shredded cardboard and corrugated or honeycomb sleeves that recycle as cardboard. Our filler is made from renewable sources, 100% biodegradable and fully compostable, and even our packaging tape is paper and recyclable.
Our reusable 500ml amber glass bottles can be refilled endlessly from our 5 litre and 20 litre containers. We have a range of accessories to help keep your bottles and containers in pristine condition.
Don’t forget – when you have finished with your 5 litre or 20 litre container you can send it back to us for cleaning and refilling for free.

I do really like the Greenscents Laundry Liquid, Laundry Conditioner and the Multi surface spray, as I suffer from autoimmunity and wanted to reduce toxins in my home environment. Greenscents products are non-toxic and do not cause harm to hormone health. I also have pets so it’s a bonus that I know my home environment isn’t polluted with harmful chemicals every day when I clean, meaning that myself and my pets are healthy and happy in a clean, but safe home.
If I had any criticism to give, it’s that the products simply don’t arrive quick enough, delivery can take up to a full week for me, which isn’t a huge issue, but I expected there to be a next day delivery option, or for it to come a little quicker with it being a U.K.-based company. I just have to make sure that I’m placing a re-order a week prior to running out of the products, but it would be super helpful to have a faster delivery option!

I washed a tea towel in the Greenscents Detergent and Conditioner so that I could compare with a similar tea towel washed in my usual products. When taking the washing out of the machine I could smell the citrus on the clothes, and wondered if it would last once the clothes had been on the washing line all day. Well, when it came to afternoon and I brought the clothes in, there was still a slight citrus smell but it was overwhelmingly that of being fresh. Comparing the tea towels too… the Greenscents conditioned tea towel was a massive improvement on my usual one, being left much softer.

I was delighted to be offered a Greenscents laundry liquid and conditioner of my choice; it just had to try the Minty fragrance as I’ve not seen this as an option for laundry before and it’s my favourite scent for most things!
This 94% organic formula of this Laundry Liquid is concentrated, so you’ll only need 20-25ml (4-5 teaspoons) for a typical 5-6 kg wash.
The liquid has a nice consistency that is not too thick or too watery thus reducing wastage, and the scent is divine!
Very impressed with this laundry liquid and what a joy to have no strong perfume smells, I just wish my neighbours would use it I can smell the strong scent from a couple of gardens away!

I try to do everything to keep my family healthy and toxic-chemical free. We have all had a variety of health issues over the last years and we are all conscious of eating well and not adding toxic chemicals into our bodies nor our home environment. I am a BIG FAN of Greenscents - this company really cares about producing the best products - and they really are clean, healthy products, ANNNDDDD they work! I use the laundry nonscents and the dishes nonscents. Both products clean really well, I tried heaps of alternatives before finding this company. I buy the 5L pot of both and they last ages, definitely more economical than everything else I tried. So what's not to like 1) health wise top priority and they score big 2) eco no toxic, forever chemicals, great ingredients + much less throw away plastic. Greenscents big yes 3) economical! The best eco friendly laundry liquid on the market I’ve found by far. I tried lots of others before I found this, some didn’t get the clothes clean and some just smelt absolutely revolting. I’ve used it for around 5-6 years now and wouldn’t use anything else. Removes blood, tomato sauce, fruit juice etc easily. I use the non-scented version, but have used lavender in the past. Nice gentle fragrance, not overpowering. Doesn’t cause itching like bog-standard products from supermarkets. More expensive than those, but we’ll worth it for the quality imho.

Cleans well, smells good, great to be able to buy in bulk and has never irritated my eczema. Definitely needed a pump to prevent spills, and I now use an old measuring jug from an iron to check how much is needed so I don't waste it. It is not cheap, but it does everything I need it to without using irritating surfactants. The synthetic smells of shop bought detergent are so overwhelming, this has a really lovely, natural, gentle scent and lavendar is my favourite out of all the options. For anything that needs an extra boost in the wash I use hydrogen percarbonate or sodium carbonate directly applied in a paste.
Have used this laundry liquid for years and very pleased with it for wool or delicates and also dog bedding. I really appreciate not having residue of toxic chemicals and artificial fragrances on my washing. I will continue to purchase.
Really happy with the product in terms of its green credentials and the fact that it doesn’t irritate eczema prone skin in our family is its main selling point. That said, the product does come at a premium price, plus postage.Having the larger quantity container is better value. It would be helpful if it came with a pourer of some sort or a funnel to enable easier decanting.
