1 Terms & Conditions of Sale

1.1 Company Information

International Greenscents Ltd ("Greenscents", "we", "us", "our") is a company registered in England & Wales under company number 12299787. 1.2 Scope

These Terms govern all purchases made on www.greenscents.co.uk (the “Site”). They do not apply to wholesale accounts, which are subject to separate terms.

1.3 Your Status

By placing an order you confirm that you (i) are at least 18 years old, (ii) are legally capable of entering into binding contracts, and (iii) are purchasing as a consumer for personal use.

1.4 Formation of the Contract

Your online order is an offer to buy the products listed. A contract is formed only when we email you an order‑confirmation. If we are unable to accept your order (e.g. because a product is out of stock or an error in price), we will inform you and issue a full refund.

1.5 Product Information

We take reasonable care to ensure that all product details, descriptions and prices appearing on the Site are correct at the time of publication. Images are for illustrative purposes only; actual packaging may vary.

1.6 Prices, Delivery Charges & Payment

All prices are in pounds sterling (GBP) and include UK VAT at the current rate. Delivery charges are displayed at checkout. Accepted payment methods are listed on the Site; payment is taken when you place the order. Promotional codes cannot be applied retrospectively.

1.7 Delivery & Transfer of Ownership

We deliver to the UK and selected international destinations shown on the Site. Dispatch and delivery estimates are not guaranteed. Risk in the goods passes to you upon delivery. Ownership passes when we receive full payment, including delivery charges.

1.8 Your Statutory Right to Cancel

You have a legal right to cancel your contract within 14 days of receiving the goods, as set out in section 3 (Returns Policy). Nothing in these Terms affects that right.

1.9 Faulty, Damaged or Incorrect Products

If a product is faulty, damaged or not as described, you are entitled to a replacement or refund. Please see section 3.7 for details.

1.10 Intellectual Property

All content on the Site—including text, graphics, logos and photographs—is owned by or licensed to Greenscents. You may view, copy and print portions solely for personal, non‑commercial use. Any other use without our prior written consent is prohibited.

1.11 Liability

Nothing in these Terms limits or excludes liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or any liability that cannot be limited under law. Subject thereto, we shall not be liable for (i) indirect or consequential loss or (ii) any amount exceeding the total price of the order.

1.12 Events Outside Our Control

We are not liable for failure to perform or delay caused by circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to acts of God, war, pandemic, strikes or transport disruptions.

1.13 Variation

We may revise these Terms at any time by posting an updated version on the Site. The Terms in force at the time you place an order will apply to that order.

1.14 Governing Law & Jurisdiction

These Terms and any dispute arising out of them are governed by English law. The courts of England & Wales have non‑exclusive jurisdiction.

2 Privacy & Cookie Policy

2.1 Introduction

Greenscents is committed to safeguarding your personal data and respecting your privacy. This Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, transfer and store your information, and your choices regarding that information.

2.2 Data Controller & Contact

For the purposes of the UK GDPR and Data Protection Act 2018, Greenscents Ltd is the data controller. Questions or requests may be sent to privacy@greenscents.co.uk or the postal address above.

2.3 Personal Data We Collect

Identity Data – name, title, username.
Contact Data – addresses, email, telephone.
Transaction Data – products purchased, payment details, delivery information, returns.
Technical & Usage Data – IP address, browser type, device identifiers, time‑zone settings, Site interactions.
Marketing & Communications Data – preferences for receiving marketing and communications history. We do not knowingly collect data relating to children.

2.4 How & Why We Use Your Data

Where data is transferred outside the UK/EEA we ensure appropriate safeguards such as adequacy regulations or Standard Contractual Clauses are in place.

The Site uses cookies and similar technologies to (i) make the Site work, (ii) remember your preferences and (iii) analyse traffic. Non‑essential cookies are set only with your consent via our cookie banner. You may change your preferences at any time.

2.8 Data Security

We employ appropriate technical and organisational measures—including HTTPS encryption, secure hosting, access controls and regular security reviews—to protect your information.

2.9 Data Retention

We retain personal data only for as long as necessary to fulfil the purposes described above, including satisfying any legal, accounting or reporting requirements. Typically we keep order records for 6 years.

2.10 Your Rights

You have the right to request access to, rectification or erasure of your personal data; to restrict or object to processing; to data portability; and to withdraw consent at any time. You may lodge a complaint with the UK Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO).

2.11 Marketing Communications

You can opt out of marketing at any time by clicking "unsubscribe" in our emails or contacting us.

2.12 Automated Decision‑Making

We do not use automated decision‑making that produces legal or similarly significant effects.

2.13 Links to Third‑Party Sites

Our Site may contain links to third‑party websites. We are not responsible for their privacy practices.

2.14 Changes to This Policy

Material changes will be notified on the Site or by email where appropriate. The date at the top of this Policy shows when it was last updated.

3 Returns & Refunds Policy

3.1 Your Statutory Rights

Nothing in this Policy affects your statutory rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 and related legislation.

3.2 14‑Day Right to Cancel

Under the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation & Additional Charges) Regulations 2013 you may cancel your online order within 14 calendar days from the day after you receive your goods, without giving a reason.

3.3 How to Cancel & Return

Notify us within 14 days by emailing info@greenscents.co.uk.
Return the goods to us within 14 days of your cancellation notice. We recommend using a tracked service and retaining proof of postage.

3.4 Condition of Returned Goods

Items must be unopened, unused and in their original, resaleable condition unless they are faulty. You are responsible for any diminished value resulting from handling beyond what is necessary to establish the nature, characteristics and functioning of the goods.

3.5 Refunds

We will reimburse all payments received from you, including the least‑expensive standard delivery option, within 14 days of receiving the returned goods (or evidence of return). Refunds are made to the original payment method.

3.6 Exchanges

If you request an exchange and the item is in stock, we will dispatch the replacement within 5 working days of receiving your return. Otherwise, a refund will be issued.

3.7 Faulty, Damaged or Incorrect Goods

If a product is faulty, damaged in transit or the wrong item has been sent, please contact us within 30 days of receipt. We will arrange a replacement or full refund and cover reasonable return postage.

3.8 Return Postage Costs

You are responsible for return postage costs when cancelling under the 14‑day right, unless the item is faulty, damaged or incorrect.

3.9 Exceptions & Exclusions

The right to cancel does not apply to:

sealed goods which are not suitable for return for health‑protection or hygiene reasons if unsealed; does this apply to Greenscents products?
personalised or custom‑made items.

3.10 Returns from Outside the UK

International customers must clearly mark parcels as “Returned Goods” to avoid customs charges. We cannot accept liability for customs duties incurred due to incorrect labelling.
